:: Secret Weapon ::
We have a new crew member! We are unable to give away his name for we are afraid for his safety before the races. He plays baseball, football, basketball, and does boxing in his free time. He was kicked off his baseball team for the other teams "thought" he was using steriods. He is going to be our secret weapon this year and we are trying to find out if he could take the place of another team member and row two paddles at one time. So watch out other teams because this year Miles Kimball will be taking more than last place!!!!

Rebecca Graf
Im your captain and will be a paddler for the races. My goal is to place in the races this year. I believe if we practice and use some pretty good teamwork we could do pretty well. I have 3 kids and have taken many road trips around the United States.
Jessica Graf
Im Rebecca's daughter and I will be going to UWO next year and I want to major in some science. I enjoy rollerskating and playing slowpitch softball ( even though I suck). I have roadtripped to many places in my life and I hope to go to Atlanta soon.
Nathan Van Rooy
Im Jessica's girlfriend and I am a senior at Omro High School. I like to play basketball, football, and slowpitch softball. I want to go to UWO next year and hope to become a chiropractor. I have traveled to many places including Mexico.
I have worked at MK for 1 year and 1 month.I like to hang with my friends, party and be one crazy chick.I have been pretty much no where, but have been to Canada.I would one day like to be an accountant. I have a very short attention span and love to have fun.
Cody Thimm
I have been with Miles Kimball for 3 months. I like to rock out on Guitar Hero. I
have been about 3,000 foot above Omro with nothing but a parachute. I hope to find a career I enjoy, live in a big house on a lake, wake up to a beautiful wife every morning. I've made it this far and I'm pretty proud of that, give what I have been through.
Carrie Yunker
I have been with miles kimball for 11 months. My greatest accomplishments are
graduating from Central Michigan University with a B.S. degree, and I am also a very proud single mom of two. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I especially love the outdoors and experiencing new things. I am very outgoing and interested in meeting new people always. I have been to many places and also have lived in six different states. My favorite place I have visited is Colorado because I love to downhill ski. One other fun fact about me is that I was a nanny before I went to college and also during summer months of college.
Kristine Keller
I have been working at Miles Kimball for one year. I enjoy working with kids and taking pictures. I enjoy spending a lot of my time outdoors. I have traveled to New York before but not many other places. I hope to put one of my interests to work to either work with children or become a photographer one day.
Mark Preston
I have been with MK for 2+. I like to play sports, watch and go to baseball games. I have been to Amsterdam, France, Italy, Fenway Park. I want to be a Social Studies teacher at a high school where I can also coach soccer. I took my boys high school soccer team (Madison Edgewood) to the State Championship game only to lose 2-1 in OT, I have been a Coach of the Year Nominee in 2002,2003,2006, 2007 and was selected as the runner up in 2002 and 2006, Set a school record for Wins in a season at Winneconne HS for my girls soccer team in 2007, took the same team to the Sectional Semi-Final game (school record) in 2007. I also have 4 kids who are awesome.
Beth Mueller
I have been with Miles Kimball for 4 years and 1 month total.I like to watch movies go on long bike rides and take road trips. I also play coed softball (go electric lounge). I have taken road trips to North Carolina, Texas, and South Dakota so far. Its kinda sad but my biggest ambition right now is buying a house, well and get my boyfriend to marry me, of course. (Wait maybe we shouldn't put that online, but it's been 9 years so maybe he needs a wakeup call. FYI he's racing so if you see Travis Neuman give him a heads up). I was just promoted to Admin Clerk and I am currently pursuing my accounting degree.I raced last year and we ended up dead last so the way I see it the only way to go is up. So watch out!!!!!

I don't work at Miles Kimball my girlfriend does. They just needed some extra muscle for the race. I like to play softball, frisbee golf, and video games. I am easy going but I do want to get married and have kids by the time I am 30 and own my own bar by the time I am 40, I also want to be the youngest manager at my job. I love to eat food.

I have been with MK since February this year.I enjoy snowboarding (seasonal of course), biking, knitting, reading, coloring, and swimming if I could. I have been in a lower leg cast for a few weeks. So water has been out of the question.The most exciting places I have been to are Arizona/ Grand Canyon, Arkansas, Illinois, and Osseo WI. where they are renowned for their famous pies! I am currently attending UWO for Social work, going into my third year.Every spring I am a professional singer for Richard's School of the Dance in their pit.

I have been with Miles Kimball for almost 3 years. I was in the Dragon Boat Races last year. I bring a very competitive attitude. In my free time I like to hunt, fish and bowl. Right now I am attending college in Green Bay and hoping to finish next summer

I have been working at MKC as an HR Assistant for 2 months and counting.I enjoy camping, volleyball, and of course long walks on the beach. J Although I think I have only had one in my life!Cancun and Juarez Mexico (for two very different reasons) and Hawaii. That's about all for the exciting ones!

Everyone calls me Buss because I can lift a school bus with my own bare hands. I enjoy long walks along the Menominee Park beach with my significant other. I'm a twin with triplet
nieces, twin nephews and twin cousins.....yes multiples run in my family. I love ice cream, my cat Tinkerbell, watching movies, being active, laughing, and making people smile! Paris, Washington DC, Illinois, Minnesota, the Dakotas, Missouri, Canada, and New Jersey are many of the places I've traveled! Go Vikings! - I have been with Miles Kimball for 4 years as of 8/16.

I have been living in Oshkosh for the past 21 years. I am currently working at Miles Kimball as a customer service representative. I am going on my fourth year in college. I attended UW-Fox Valley in Menasha right after high school and I was there for three years. I am enrolled at UW-Oshkosh for this fall. I am majoring in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. After I graduate from UW-Oshkosh I hope in 2010 I plan on going to graduate school for my masters degree. I enjoy working out, staying fit, and taking care of myself. I enjoy going out with my friends. I love spending time with my family. I have 2 cats named Chaz and Rio. I love to travel, camp, go on bike rides, swim, ski, snowboard, go tubing, watch reality tv shows, watch the Brewers, watch the Packers (I love watching any sport), go mini golfing or golfing, playing volleyball, playing softball, go rollerblading. I just love staying active and being outside whenever I get the chance.

I am 33, I moved to Oshkosh 8 years ago and before that I lived in Milwaukee. I am married and have a 6-year-old daughter named Hannah. My favorite hobbies are reading, movies, and games.My favorite books are the Harry Potter series. I also like Stephen King, Patricia Cornwell, and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. Some of my favorite movies are the Star Wars series, The Fifth Element, Walk the Line, and Second Hand Lions. I'm big into video games.

I have been working at Miles Kimball for about a month now.I like to golf, I play rugby, and I love to travel!I have been all over the United States, Mexico & Canada; and I have also studied abroad in Australia and I have visited Fiji.I hope to one day be an executive for a major Not-for-Profit Organization such as the Boys and Girls Club, American Red Cross or the Olympics.I am a proud uncle first of all. I am a past president of the chapter for my fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, I am also a member of Future Business Leaders of America, Spanish Club, Young Entrepreneur Society and the International Students Association. I also work freshman orientation for UW-Oshkosh as well.I am a proud philanthropist for organizations such as the Salvation Army, American Red Cross, March of Dimes, Adopt-A-Highway, Take Back the Night, The Oshkosh Humane Society, and Picket Fences; which is a foundation that rehabilitates mis-treated animals such as horses and dogs, and in turn, use them as therapy for children with autism

I wanted to be able to give some insight to people about dragon boat racing so here is some important information that I found.
A dragon boat or "dragonboat" ( Chinese: 龍舟or 龍船) is a very long and narrow human-powered boat now used in the team paddling sport of dragon boat racing which originated in China. [ The word that catches my attention the most is human powered :)... ]
The crew consists of a drummer, 18-20 paddlers, and a steerer. The drummer sits at the front of the boat beating a drum giving a "pace" to the paddlers. The 18-20 paddlers sit on each side of the boat paddling in a sychronized motion (well there supposed to). The steerer sits at the back of the boat and uses a oar at the back of the boat to control the boats direction.
